After reading all the problems continually posted about 903 Sprinters going into limp home mode and not revving above 3000 rpm, Losing power on hills etc, I have decided to offer a DIY solution,So you dont have to visit a garage or the doctor after pulling your hair out !

There will be 2 kits easily fitted by a competent person, Which will come with fully fitting instructions and a telephone number to contact if you need help.

This is a plug in kit , No soldering and should'nt take more than an hour to fit.

If you are interested please let me know by sending a private message.

2005 sprinter 2500 loss of engine power

I was heading west on I-80 outside Laramie Wyoming tonight and I suddenly lost power and had to coast to the edge of the road. Called for a tow truck then when the truck didn't show up I started the engine and there seemed to be lots of power. So i headed back to laramie for a motel stay as I live in BC. Now i'm worried the same thing might happen tomorrow.
Any ideas what i should be looking for? I put in diesel conditioner to take any water out as I thought maybe in 27F temp the fuel was freezing up.
Please advise asap

turbo resonator was my problem

there indeed was a crack in he abs plastic resonator and found one at a local wrecker for $25 good enough until I sold the van to a tree planter gal. I gave her the heads up about keeping a spare resonator around or replacing it with the permanent metal one online. BTW I did start up that sprinter that left me starnded on a wyoming highway back in 2011 the enxt morning and drove it back to BC without a problem! Must have been dirty fuel I think.

The solution is to fix the actual fault, not simply keep resetting it !!

The actual fault that is causing Limp could be one of many, which is why SDS and someone who really knows SDS, Sprinters and CDI motors should be the only one working on it !!
