Should I use Lucas Stop Slip Transmission Fluid?

I have a 98 Mercedes SLK230 and my transmission is going out. It isn't horrible but it is getting worse, It tends to slip and catch in between second and third gear. I was wondering if I should use a bottle of this stuff in it temporary, and was also wondering what the ups and downs could be. I read on some peoples reviews that it works great and others say it doesn't work at all, and I was reading something about that if you put it in that you would need a engine overhaul, is that true?

Please let me know.
Thanks.

What is the mileage and has the transmission fluid and filter been changed at all?

With metal flakes in there, this addative will be of little use, you need a transmission rebuilt.

I actually thought the same but, as it stands now the transmission can be rebuilt, however if he puts this addative in and it destroys the clutch packs then a rebuild may be out of the question and he will need another tranny instead.
