I searched around, and I can't seem to find a comprehensive list or anything about cool old add-ons that are/were available for these cars. From those rare old body kits to shift knobs, steering wheels or interior options. I have always had a craving for stuff like this and I'd love to see what's out there!

in europe there was a really rare special edition with some weird name that had the 4 seater recaro interior where every seat was a different color. Colors were red, blue, yellow, and green. I would give one of my cars away for that interior. Are you looking for a list of options available from the dealer or aftermarket stuff too?

yea looking for pics, description of any sort of dealer or aftermarket "period" accessory. The glock box and center console cover are sweet!

I'd like to start seeking out and adding some cool little vintage accessories to my 190, and i thought why not start a archive of this stuff for others to A. show off their rare bits and B.use as a informative archive for others to search and look for whats out there for these cars.

I am huge into it in the vintage VW world and wanted to be educated a bit :) Good start guys!

console came in some 16v's its suppose to have a wood cover but i got mine off ebay for cheap and the cover was crack and in pieces so i redid it in black suede. theres no visible part on teh cover itself. the only other person i know that has one is DAS and he got it from a mint 16v. roof racks are NLA from Mercedes they will tell you to refer to thule. i got this rack off ebay a while back and found another one that a buddy of mine picked up and DAS also has one.. theres 3 OE MB racks floating around the east coast.

look like i have yet another reason to try and get a contracting job in europe

A shameless plug regarding rare, hard-to-find parts... I have a NOS M102 8V sports camshaft made by Albert (Austrian tuner of the 80's that tuned high-end exotics). I ended up buying a whole new motor and I won't be needing the sports camshaft anymore. Back in the 1980's, this camshaft retailed for 800 DM.... these are 1980's currency. If interested... send me a PM.

Other accessory items for the W201 would include...

phone consoles that attach to the side of a center console
Webasto heating

The cover is off of my engine... I gave it to a friend as a partial trade deal. The 2.6 m102 is going in my 190 AMG. Basically I will end up with a Brabus powered AMG 190.

I got an extremely rare performance piece in my daily- Mosselman piggyback ECU which runs of vacuum and tricks the EHA. Probably only a handful of them in the world

So far, I've got:

  • Set of vintage Carlsson alloys: 16x7.5" / 16x8.5" staggered
  • AMG/Momo steering wheel
Coming in from Europe I've got:
  • Euro dash, central console, and heater controls
  • Non-sunroof roof panel
  • Manual window mechanisms
  • Manual door locks (central locking delete)
  • Bosch Euro headlights
  • Orange Euro turn signals
I guess that's it for now.
