changing beam from LHD to RHD

Good evening,
Hope someone can help. I have a motorhome based on a 2004 Sprinter which I bought in Germany so it is a left hand drive with corresponding headlight beam profile. I now have the vehicle in Ireland where we drive on the other side of the road & need to change the beam to suit. Some say this is a simple adjustment while others suggest it is necessary to replace the complete headlamp units. Any advice/ instruction would be greatly appreciated.

Left hand drive to right hand -headlight beam

Many thanks from the UK subscriber but I do not want to use the stick on deflectors, I prefer to know how to change the beam from behind the lamp cluster (if possible!!) as I continue to take the 'van between the continent (left hand drive) & my home (UK /Ireland) where we drive on the other side of the road.

Hi Bunglas

Unfortunately you will have to replace both left and right hand side units, but saying that you say you go between the Continent and the UK, so its only a couple screws on each side so you could swap to the right set of units for each trip !

I would expect you will get some off Ebay at the right price !

Because it is a motorhome I do not know how does it look for that year.
I have 2002 311 UK specs, if you want I can send you my headlights for yours. I need them for Germany. I live close to Limburg in Germany. Me and you have to pay only the postage.

Hi, I know this was a while ago but how did you get on? I have a 1997 Sprinter 312 based motorhome and I too spend extended periods on the continent and a little bit of time in the UK so changing would be useful to me.
