Bleeding air from coolant system

So recently me and my dad did some digging in our Mercedes Benz w203 c180 kompressor facelift, found out some of the hoses that keep the coolant are leaking, ordered new parts , replaced them and now I tried to find any info or video about getting the air out of the system, while I saw someone say that all I need to do is let the engine run idling or put the heater on max before turning the engine on , we didn't see any bubbles coming out . While we lost a couple of liquids when we were replacing the parts , we filled it up as well , my dad expected some air to come out at least, if anyone wants to help I can send pictures of which parts we changed
