I see an AUX jack, but no place to plug in an IPhone cable.. Is it possible in the ML500?

The ML500 has a cell phone puck. Can I detach that puck and put a bluetooth puck? Want to get BlueTooth working in the ML.

I have a 2007 ML350 so will assume it's close. The Aux jack in the glovebox will read media files only and you have to control all functions from your device. It will not hook up your phone.

I don't know what you are referring to on the cell phone puck. My Bluetooth is in the center console and is removable and from Mercedes. I don't know if you can use an aftermarket model or hook another device into it but it would be interesting to find out. I use an android phone and lately the address book will not show up in the command display, I believe the updates surpassed the benz and since Mercedes does no updates on any of the computers I believe I will have to buy a new one to get the features back.

The later years models have bluetooth built in and they have USB ports, which will allow user function, still don't know if your phone would work through it?

Sorry to raise this thread from the dead, but I just got an ML63 a week ago and I'm in the same situation.

I could plug in a bluetooth receiver to the aux port in the glove box and stream to it from my phone. This way I wouldn't have to have my phone in the glove box, but there is no attractive way for me to power the bluetooth receiver because there is no power port in the glove box.

What's the best solution here? Any ideas?
-New stereo?
-Add a power port to the glove box?
-Run an ugly cord from the cigarette lighter and have it hang from the glove box and leave the cigarette lighter tray open?

My 2006 ML500 has a power port just under the glove box. It's hard to see it but it's there. I also use a bluetooth receiver to the aux and using this power port. It's a perfect place to hide the power cord from glove box.
Good luck!:)
