Anyone knows all the proper jack point locations on the W203?

I only know the one next to the wheel. I tried to jack it up with the tiny jack comes with the car for the backup wheel replacement. I just wonder if there would be some optimum jack points at the axles or shafts.

More specifically, I am planning to do the O2 sensor replacement, so any preferred jack point for the jack stand?

Lastly, I just found an interesting video on youtube showing a custom built jack pad adaptor which nicely fit with the specific car model. Anyone has experienced it?

there is a jack point under the engine look at opening in the plastic shroud there's a rubber block. the side jack points are covered in the owner's manual. from the rear you can jack from the diff but use a wooden block. there are no great places for jack stands on the car (at least the kind I have which are notched rather than flat on top) so I improvise depending on where I'm working and am real careful, and I keep the jack in place as a back up in case it slips off stands.

I jack from those center points as Schumicat mentioned, then I position the jack stands under the plastic side points by the wheels.

I have a set of four adjustable jack stands I used to support the car when changing the transmission fluid, pan and filter. I'm not small (6-foot-2 and about 230lbs) and I only needed about half the travel on the jack stands to be comfortable.

For jacking at the differential, you will probably need a long framed, low-profile jack.

Neat idea with the hockey pucks. My jack stands are just like yours, and I just place them "offset" in the frame pads so that one of the high points of the jack stand head is centered under the pad, then one of the low parts of the pad hits the low point on the jack stand head.

Hi rudeney, do you have the photo to illustrate?

I am afraid I don't quite can your idea.

Sorry, no pictures, but I took yours and Photoshopped it to demonstrate:

Hi Rudeney.
Do you have the part # for the pad, mine missing one would like to order but could not find the part # for it.
Thanks In Advance.

Using the jack this was does not seem to damage the pad. It does leave a few marks on it, but nothing that affects its functionality. I believe the part number for the jack pad is A2039970186.

whats the rear cross traverse? it says not to jack from ther?
Not too sure, but I guess that it is a part of the steering linkages. The right place is very obvious.

The WIS reference to 'jacking' here is for raising the car safely from the ground - not just for removing a wheel using the jacking locations along the sides.

Sure, just place them on the frame, where the emergency jack pucks are located - anywhere else an you could damage the body, subframe or suspension.

Anyone has the diagram showing the jack puck location on the W203 chassis?

By the way, how to I know whether it is on the frame? Does EPC shows the frame structure of the W203 chassis?
