Did a search for this but only found results for folks seeking or offering their assortment of W124 parts.

So I need an OVP and O2 sensor. Care to toss me some favorite places to shop online in the USA please?

Many thanks in advance.

I know this site is advertising supported - no grumble there - but perhaps in the sticky DIY section a list could be offered up - even if it was just names and no links out? Just a thought.

Autohaus AZ is one of the most popular.

Select Your Model

Important Note !
Don't buy URO branded parts - chinese copies with bad track record of failure in many parts on this and other forums.

becareful they dont have the right car models listed! They have a 300ce listed with a 3.2 engine when it should be 320ce.
Actually they are right. The 320CE model was not sold as such in the USA it was sold as the 300CE and migrated straight through to the E320 designation.

How do I know ?
A friend in Illinois has a beautiful black cabriolet which is one of the transition era cars.
It's 300CE badged but with a 3.2 litre engine in it from new.

The 320CE only appeared in Europe and Japan !
Why I can't answer but they continued to sell the early 3.2 litre coupes & cabs with 300CE badges rather than going to 320CE.

I actually bought a 320CE badge for my mate in Chicago so his cabriolet could stand out from the crowd !

On the o2 sensor ,if you want to pay less ,I just put one in from a 1990 Mustang 302,direct fit,you just have to splice it in,easy! $39 at Pepboys, there's 2 part numbers for that car, they both work, one has longer leads than the other, made by Bosch, works great!

Perhaps that explains why they didn't encompass the 320CE as it was only an interim step in the MB plan to change all designations to be Alpha Prefixed (E320, C220 etc etc) !

autopartswarehouse for suspension and other large dollar single item purchases (watch for chinese brands though)

peachparts <--- good and no chinese parts, but more expensive
I don't order anywhere else really

I'm a repeat autohausaz.com customer but my orders have been taking a long time to ship. Up to ten days. They've got that $50 free shipping gimmick threshold to cross. And why don't we have a group discount with them yet? I know we've been working on it.

They also don't have a lot of basic parts. Transmission mounts and tank strainers for the E300s come to mind.

You'll want to check, recheck, double check and check your part numbers again to be sure you're getting the right part. Cross referencing and comparing with what other vendors should also help.

Case in point. I recently ordered mounts for my 95 E300 - they specified two different parts, one for each side. LH, RH. Called to double check, got the thumbs up. Some jazz about special fitment and all. One even cost more than the other!! Anyway, they sent two different boxes with the same part inside. Then they said both work and the one they sent was better anyway. Was promised a refund of the difference but I still haven't seen it and it's been a month. In fact, this reminds me I need to follow up with that.

Anyway, for me, I'm open to shopping elsewhere.

Thanks for the help folks. I may place an order from Pelican Parts, but to be candid, until I came back to the forum just now, it was only because I thought I was dealing with the company mentioned above, Peach Parts.

There was a question about my order that required a call back - I was promised one in 30 mins or less; that was an hour ago. Bummer.

Goal was to get the answer in time to switch to AutohausAZ if need be... nice way for them to torpedo my plan.

Stay tuned... oh, any experience with Pelican Parts?

I'm going for the real OEM connector version of the O2 sensor (one less hassle or connection to go bad) and Kaehler on the OVP.

Thanks Sam.

They got back to me - better late than never. Items should be shipping today.

Fingers crossed.

I order a lot of stuff from Pelican Parts for my BMW, they only recently started carrying MB parts. That being said, they always meet or exceed my expectations. Faster shipping than advertised, I get parts from them (from California to NC) faster than some east coast parts outlets.

I order from Autohaus, Pelican, Rockauto, Amazon, wherever I can find the best parts for the best prices. Rockauto and Amazon have the more basic consumables for lowest usually (o2, MAF, etc), Pelican and Autohaus are a tossup on availability and selection, though I notice that Pelican doesn't sell the really low-end crap like Autohaus does. ClubPlug for non-resistor spark plugs, Rusty @ BuyMB Parts for the high-dollar dealer-only stuff. I've also ordered stuff from ECS Tuning, but they are more VW-centric.

Postscript:

Parts arrived already. That's next day for those not following along from the start! Shipping was free too - but paid CA sales tax.

OVP is KAE; O2 is Bosch w/plug and play connector.

Going to R&R OVP first to see what effect on running quality and CEL. One change at a time...

Fingers crossed.

I order everything for my E320 from BMA. BMA Auto Parts

Great prices, everything ships the day you order it and most times shipping is free. If I need something faster than 5-day UPS ground, they'll usually send it USPS at no extra cost. Have a salesman, Yves, who could be the friendliest guy in the world. Very helpful, can get anything.

For Porsche stuff, I've been using Pelican for years, been a member since 2001. The forums are topnotch for anything 911, all parts are available, prices are OK. This forum seems to be better than Peach, more like the folks on Pelican where I've made friends all over the world over the years.

Just took a look at BMA. They did not carry any OVP for my MB, but the Bosch OEM plug-n-play O2 sensor they have is only $77.59 - that's the best price I've seen (don't know what shipping, if any, would have been).

Impressive and worth bookmarking.
