I went to start the car one morning and it was very dead. I got it back up with a jump start and let it run for a while to recharge the battery.

Naturally, I assumed it was the passenger side seat module since the driver side had already went out. Turns out, it wasn't. The car can be jump started no problem, but when the car is off for a few hours it goes dead again.

I want to take it to my usual repair shop, but would at least try to get an idea as to what the problem is and save money in "tinker" costs.

Any ideas on where to start?

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

It turns out it was the cd player itself, like its trying to spin or something. It stops when I lock the door though.

I discovered another noise coming from the dome light. I think its the temperature fan and it may be the culprit.

How old is the battery? If it's more than three years old, especially if you had problems with it being drained by the seat module, it may be time to replace it.

Electrical issues with C320

I have the same problem with my 2002 C320. After diagnosing the problem at the MB dealership, I was told that the power seat motor is draining my battery. Both seats. Come to find out that many other people have experienced the same problem.

I called Mercedes USA and they said that since the car is out of warranty, there is not much they can do. But if enough people call and tell them that they have this same problem, they will realize that this is a defective part and they will issue a recall and pay for necessary repairs.

Please call Mercedes USA and report this problem. 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372) or 201-476-6200
