Hello comrades.

What does this light mean? Its located on the right hand side of the ABS light on the instrument cluster.

When Im driving, sometimes flashes randomly. Im not sure what it means and what could be causing this. Please see the picture I attached

lol, my bad...

Looked at the user manual. Realize it indicates my brake pads are running out!

Was planning to change pads all round and skim the discs anyway..

Never mind fam, I kinda answered my own question lol

wow your cluster looks nice :) where did you get it?
lol, unfortunately that is not my cluster at all. Just got that pic off google so I could ask this question.

My cluster is 100% factory, STILL waiting for my Chrome gauge rings to be delivered :( DAMN e-bay sellers taking forever to send them! Think its coming from Taiwan

Hi, MafiaDON - the next thing to determine is "which" pads. I don't know about the '94's, but I think MB started pinching pennies by using fewer sensors.

My '84 300DT has 4 sensors up front, and I just took a peek at the back - none at all. I keep thinking there's some back there, but there's not.

My '97 S320 has only 1 sensor per front wheel, but there are of course 2 pads for each wheel. There is only 1 sensor on the rear (right, I think), although there are of course 4 pads total in the rear. But, that's 1 more than my W123. The point is, 3 out of the 4 pads in the back have no sensors, so you'll never know if they're worn unless they're actually checked. At least in the front, 2 out of 4 have a sensor.

We've only had the car for 10K miles, so I don't know if one wheel wears more than the other, but that can happen. If one side is hardly worn, and the other really worn, there's no sense in following the "have to change both" rule.

my 97 s500 has 4 sensors in front and 4 in the back. 2 per brake but i heard there was 4 types of brakes used on the w140. there was 4 different brake companies mine was brembo but not the performance ones just regular brembos

No problem comrade..

The brakes pads which I have now are the ones that came with the car since I got it in late December.. So I might aswell replace all of them, just to be safe and sure.

I have checked all four sides, and even though there is still some thickness left, I can see that will start grinding soon if I dont replace them. I do my own brakes like with all my previous cars. Most braking systems are taken apart in similar fasion.

Thanx for the replies
