I was on an other forum and came accross this link for bulb replacement guide from sylvania.

OSRAM SYLVANIA - Automotive Lighting

After the page opens, click on the replacement guide, enter your car's details, etc.

If somebody gets hurt buying an 1157 bulb for 89 cents.... Well, they probably shouldn't be trying to maintain one of these.

Your rear tail lights use 3 1156 bulbs (reverse, brake, blinker) on each side, and 2 212-2 bulbs (parking, side marker). This thing talks about 1157 bulbs - the two filament type - and the only place they're used is in the front blinkers.

Wasting 89 cents is nothing.
Having the wrong bulbs when you remove the cluster to change them is something.

Wait... didn't that happen to me last week? :D

Ok thanks for that, well abiby, what did you find wrong with the guide/???

Attached is the Roncallo guide to the 560SL. Should be close for all other 107's. There are a couple like the ash tray and third brake light that I only have the MB#'s for. If anyone can add to it that would be good.

I do know from experience that all the cluster warning bulbs listed are incorrect for my car. A couple of others I think are wrong, but can't say for certain without looking.

On my car the cluster light are primarily 194 bulbs, but there are a few of those tiny little lights you have to buy from the dealer. I keep spares of them on hand, just in case.

The cluster bulbs where my primary concern, didn't want to have the wrong bulbs on hand when I pull it, going to change them all someday. Thanks, mine is a euro so I guess I'll find out when the time comes. If everyone thinks this is a bad thread, lets just ask to have it terminated. I thought it was a bad ass link when I saw it, but then again I bought that ocean front property in Arizona also,:)

I good with what ever the majority thinks. I thought it was all good, foolish me, I haven't changed any bulbs yet. that might jinx me now. :)

Thread's fine. If every thread or information source was culled because of errors, there wouldn't be any left.

...and your cluster probably has 2821 or 194 (same) warning bulbs and illumination from 2721 bulbs as Scott said.

Although it's a PIA to have the wrong bulbs when you work on your cluster, remember that after you've removed it the first time, subsequent visits to that area are only a 5 minute job. Disassembly of the cluster can be slightly longer. :D

If they deleted every thread that had less than perfect information, we'd have maybe two threads here.

Did you follow the link in the Infamy thread? It goes to another forum, but the poster (who shall remain nameless) said he wanted to replace the O2 sensor on his 78 450SL. I've wondered how many people got a chuckle out of that, because the 78 didn't have an O2 sensor. NAPA Auto Parts said it did, but NAPA lied.

Are you saying NAPA don't know how?
As for the thread it would cut my post count 50% if correct information was required. WAGs are not always correct.

I'll probably piss someone off for saying so, but my experience in auto parts chain stores over the last few years has been that most of the help appear to be culls from the drive-thru at McDonalds.

Of course I could be either a poor judge of people or perhaps expecting too much.

...and by the way, Jim, I believe you were being optimistic about the thread count. It would probably cut both of our counts about 75%. :D
